Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce full details via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports had indicated the company aimed to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.
As of December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 contract workers.
The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
