One-time National Football League Player Antonio Brown Enters Innocent Plea in Attempted Murder Charges

Ex- NFL player Antonio Brown is heading to Miami to address an attempted murder charge connected with a shooting that happened in May, with his lawyer filing a not guilty response on his behalf.

Correctional records in Essex, New Jersey, reveal that Brown was discharged on Tuesday early for his relocation to the state of Florida. Brown, a highly popular players in the NFL, had forgone transfer to Florida from New Jersey, where he was taken after being apprehended in the city of Dubai.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an email that he has previously filed a formal innocent response to the attempted murder accusation. Brown could be in a Miami courtroom as soon as Wednesday morning for a release session, Eiglarsh stated.

Based on his apprehension warrant, Brown is charged of grabbing a handgun from a security guard after a star fighting contest in May and firing a couple of shots at a man he had fought with before. The claimed individual, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, stated to investigators that a bullet scraped his nape.

Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was simply defending himself from Nantambu.

“The measures he was forced to take were exclusively in self-defense against the alleged victim’s hostile behavior. Brown was assaulted that time and responded within his legal right to protect himself,” Eiglarsh said.

Brown was not promptly arrested because at first police did not consider Nantambu as a victim. It not until later in May that Nantambu delivered a full account about the event to police and named Brown as the shooter, the report says.

From his digital content, Brown had been staying in Dubai for several period. In a post after the confrontation, Brown claimed he was protecting himself because he was “assaulted by numerous persons who tried to rob my possessions and bring personal injury to me.”

A second-degree murder attempt charge in the state of Florida imposes a maximum fifteen-year prison term and up to a $10,000 penalty in the instance of a conviction.

Brown has dealt with numerous legal problems over the period. He previously had been accused of assault of a truck operator, multiple abuse allegations, failure to pay child support and additional occurrences.

Throughout a recent contest with his team against the New York Jets, Brown stripped off his uniform, protective gear and accessories and ran off the arena, causing his release by the Buccaneers and effectively ending his football tenure.

Brown, who spent 12 years in the NFL, was an All-Pro receiver who spent the majority of his tenure with his team. During his career, Brown had nine hundred twenty-eight catches for above twelve thousand two hundred ninety-one gains, the 28th highest of all time. He was a seven-time prestigious selection.
