Chris Eubank Jr's issues against Conor Benn and his team led to a news conference promoting the second fight to descend into non-stop arguing

Eubank, thirty-five, took the opportunity to allege that Team Benn as well as Eddie Hearn tried to "disrupt" his preparation before their initial match with Benn back in the spring

This midweek news conference was the initial occasion Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn have met one another since their first encounter

Eubank ended up to hospital after the win and disclosed shed one of his toenails due to "severe dehydration"

"I've never heard so much rubbish", the promoter shot back, "Eubank are acting like a victim"

These two UK rivals will fight again this November, with Benn looking to get payback after his points defeat

"They are not men of the people" Eubank continued, "They are acting. They're acting to be the heroes. Predators disguised as sheep's clothing"

Conor Benn refused to rise to the bait, letting Eddie Hearn do the bulk of responding

However, the 28-year-old promised to be less "greedy" during their second fight

"It felt as if I had been a single shot close to victory, but I was constantly seeking that knockout blow", he explained

Following an entire media event filled with squabbling, staredown passed with no significant drama

Chris smiled at Benn, although following a previous egg-slap incident recently, there was ample security nearby to ensure matters civil

Benn put on a vintage Manchester City retro top to honour the Manchester boxer and a tribute for Hatton at the start of the event

Talking before the event, Benn stated how Ricky was his "hero"

"I can't truly process it", Benn said

"Hatton was somebody who really supported my career and also someone who took me in. Like a father figure might"

"Ricky gave me a sense of comfort when I didn't have a home. He represented a lot to me. Very dear to me as well as my family"

"He had been an individual I looked up to personally, he was my inspiration", Benn continued

"He is my hero. It's still difficult to process. I have little to say. My love to his loved ones"
